180 DEGREES

FULL SPECTRUM

The opposite "DOUBLE" can barely be seen in the photo but was clearly visable to the eye.

Maybe it's the IRISH in me but I couldn't help but wonder which end the POT 'O' GOLD is at....

It remained for at least 45 minutes, still there when I went for a walk and was lucky to see the moon to the rear from a different location.

It was worth all the thunderstorms we have been having.

NOT A FIRE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE.....

For some strange reason every firefighter I have known has a "thing" about cleaning the equipment they wear to fight fires and save lives.

They never clean it.  Never.  Period.   Add to that the fact that the majority are volunteers, and all drive pick ups or SUV's to carry their equipment 'at the ready' in said trucks, and you have a potentially stinky situation.  Evidently the smokier and soot filled the equipment is denotes just how many fires the individual has worked, hence the soot is a status symbol.

Now this stuff is definately not up to NAVY standards to say the least.......  :}

Unlike my former co-workers  it was time for my equipment to have a bath....

I was surprised at how blue it seems after being packed away all winter.

NAVY INVADES NIANTIC BEACH !

The ship came closer,

and closer.

Until THIS slid off the back and let loose.

It was enor-mouse,

and the closer it got, the more in awe the thousands in the crowd were.

It was incredibly loud. There is a HUMVEE in the front ready to drive off onto the beach!

It actually came on the beach, turned around in a sand cloud before returning to the water to adjust it's position on the beach.

Yup, everyone was smiling and feeling extremely proud.

2012 POLICE VEHICLE.

Final position on the beach.

Harbor was loaded with pleasure boats contained in one half by Marine Enforcement boats of all sizes and departments of enforcement.
Please Pardon the nuke plant in the background.

Landing assist.

No big deal is complete without
CONNECTICUT STATE POLICE.

A great time was had by all.

GO NAVY.
